The David Wax Museum is a smart, compelling Americana quartet that infuses traditional Mexican son into its literary, countrified folk music. Born and raised in mid-Missouri, David Wax graduated from Harvard in 2006 before heading to Mexico for a year to learn traditional son mexicano. The new instruments and rhythms he brought back to Boston add an innovative injection of Mexican son to the Americana folk he has been crafting for years. The David Wax Museum also features Suz Slezak, Jiro Kokubu, and Jack McGrath.
