Though they were voted Boston’s Best Dance Company 2010, 2007, & 2006 by the Boston Phoenix Readers’ Poll, Monkeyhouse has learned a metaphorical thing or two about flow, stagnation, drought, and rhinoceros dreams. This idiosyncratic collection of choreographers returns to ArtBeat with a curious blend of dance theater pieces. Starting with an outdoor section developed from Chor-i-dor ( a project for last year’s Art Beat by 2009 SAC Artist Fellow, Karen Krolak ), they will guide the river of audience members into the mouth of the Somerville Theater for the rest of the show.
