An indie/folk band affiliated with the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, The Ugly Surprises have been together since 2016 and have a habit of showing up at house parties to play surprise shows in the Medford-Somerville area. The band includes: Vika Planson, Ashley Doliber, Hope Schaitkin, and Laura McElroy (Vocals), Seth Turner and Kyle Upchurch (Guitar), Sarah Collins and Emily Morgenstern (Fiddle), and Chris Bentley (Bass).
