<strong>Dirty Water Brass Band</strong>, a Boston-based undefinable raucous street band, a staunch contributor to the many grooves that make this town tick. We bring our movable block party to you, doesn’t matter where. Our style is eclectic, a mix of second line, soul, R&B, Motown, rock, jazz and more. And we do NOT "have to be in by twelve o'clock!" Sundog uses samplers, drum pads, bass, ukulele and vocals to make songs from scratch on stage with a looping pedal. You may have seen him wandering the streets of New Orleans or Boston dressed in his iconic orange astronaut outfit. Sundog brings creativity to arrangements, with roots in EDM, funk, and alternative rock. Sounds like: Postal Service, Toro y Moi, Panda Bear, Tune-Yards.
Not an easy band to categorize, Shy Five was once described as Joy Division meets the Wailers. Pulsating rhythms, kinetic harmonies, hypnotic basslines and arpeggiated guitar weave together to form an authentic original music rooted in Somerville and Cambridge.
