We're a four-piece pop/rock/synth band from Somerville, MA. Formed on New Year's Eve Eve 2011, we've found a sound that walks the line between energetic, erratic pop/rock and synthesizer experimentation.
Armed with a fortress of keyboard sounds and progressions, guitar that falls under the category of rock without being excessive, anachronistic yet oddly-appropriate jazz/funk basslines, and dynamic drums that punch it all into existence, we want to offer only enough familiarity to bridge our listeners into exciting territories.
We've just distilled all of that into a 5-track EP we're really excited about called Strange Resolutions.

Hailing from central MA and currently living in Somerville, Kristina has emerged as a musician who presents a unique melding of lyrical charm, coupled with distinctive instrumental crafting. Unofficially apprenticing under folk and indie music staples of the time, Kristina taught herself guitar and began writing songs shortly after. At this year's Porchfest she will be accompanied by a full band - guitar (Derek Pyle), violin (Sarah Izen), bass+percussion (Joe Ferreira), and sax (Scott Edwards). These kids have a blast and would love to play for you. Come check them out!

He is known for his playful spirit, horrible temper, and strange beliefs about the moon. The Lightyears are John Budney on bass (The Brains), and Ben Gworek on drums (The Moral Compass).

Dirty Water Brass Band, a street band based in Davis Square, plays an eclectic mix of jazz, R&B, New Orleans, & more, creating an oftentimes raucous but then on occasion a subtle sound that could be defined as music from the bayou and beyond. Locally, Dirty Water has invaded the outdoor stages of HONK!, Central Square, Harvard Square, and outlying neighborhoods, as well as indoor spaces such as the Lily Pad, Precinct, Cantab, Johnny D's, to name a few. DWBB is Mary Curtin (sax), Peter Goransson (sax), Dave Lewin (trumpet), Tim Opperman (trombone), Jim Overly (sousaphone), Todd Page (trombone), Jamie Pierce (sax), Gary Smiley (trumpet), & Don Stevenson (drums).

McJoy and the Saxy Buke Sunshine brings happiness and rainbows to all of its listeners. The combination of two baritone instruments, Baritone Ukelele and Baritone Saxophone, is simply irresistable. We like David Bowie... and folk songs.
